Artesia (Zia) Intermediate School student Vanessa Sotelo, pictured receiving her trophy from Zia Principal John Ross Null, took top honors in the bee. Second place went to Richy Padilla of Yucca Elementary, and Hermosa Elementary’s Sadie Ramirez placed third.
