The 2023 Bulldog football team has been making the most of its summer seven-on-seven schedule this offseason. The ‘Dogs, dominated the competition Friday at the NMMI Seven-on-Seven Tournament, taking top honors in Division I. Artesia topped Carlsbad, Roswell High and Farmington in pool play before battling through three consecutive wins in 105-degree heat. After besting Farmington again, the Bulldogs toppled Volcano Vista in the semifinals before logging a second win over Roswell in the championship. The ‘Dogs then hosted Portales Monday in a passing game and Lineman’s Challenge at Bulldog Bowl.
