A SUV and truck sit near 13th Street and Mahone Drive in front of Shop-N-Go following a traffic accident Thursday afternoon. According to Cmdr. Lindell Smith of the Artesia Police Department, the SUV was northbound on 13th Street when the truck ran a stop sign at Mahone, causing the SUV to drive into the truck. No injuries were reported. A citation was issued for the stop sign violation, and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
