Local Girl Scouts Nancy Velasquez, left, and Tekenzie Campbell of Troop 20879 tempt shoppers at Wal-Mart with their boxes of Samoas, Thin Mints, Tagalongs and Trefoils Saturday. The girls will be on hand again from noon – 2 p.m. today, as well as from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the town clock in downtown Artesia, for those wishing to indulge. Girl Scouts will be at Wal-Mart every Saturday through the end of “cookie season.”
