The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public to be on the looking for a woman wanted in connection with a shooting.

The BCSD is seeking 36-year-old Roxanne Martinez, whom they believe was involved in an incident Monday near Gun Club Road in Albuquerque in which a man was shot in the chest. The man remains hospitalized.

Martinez was last seen driving a maroon 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck with New Mexico license plate 588TAS.

The BCSD believes Martinez may be hiding out in Artesia.

Anyone spotting Martinez should call 911 immediately. Anyone with potential information leading to her whereabouts may call the Artesia Police Department at 746-5000 or, anonymously, Crime Stoppers of Eddy County at 575-887-1888. Tips may also be emailed to Crime Stoppers at artesianm.gov/tips or by texting the tip plus code word StopACrime to 274637.
