Hopeful children and their families filled the lobby of Artesia National Bank Monday afternoon in anticipation of the bank’s annual Bike Giveaway. Bank staff members helped spread Christmas cheer as they drew children’s names and gave away 70 donated bicycles. Pictured above is Matt Soto, 6, with his brand-new bicycle. This year’s giveaway saw the bank put smiles on the faces of even more children, as bicycle donations from businesses and individuals were up from 54 last year. “(Contributors) went above and beyond the call of duty this year,” Christine Swafford of ANB said.
