Police academy for kids starts in June

Daily Press Staff Writer

Registration has opened for the Artesia Police Department and Artesia Intermediate School’s second annual Junior Police Academy.

Dates for the academy, which gives students ages seven to 17 an opportunity to learn about life as a police officer, are scheduled for the months of June and July.

Students who sign up for the program will participate in various activities during four-day sessions.
