Charles Kuykendall

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, at First Baptist Church for Charles L. Kuykendall of Artesia.

Kuykendall, 66, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, in Artesia.

Pastor Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Kinnibrugh, Arvin Kinnibrugh, Don Manthei, Eddie Seely, Jason Krogman and A.J. Krogman.

Visitation will be held from noon – 8 p.m. Thursday at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Charles was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Artesia, the son of Thomas and Marceline (Herod) Kuykendall. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

On Oct. 25, 1973, he married Judy Miller in Artesia.

Charles was an operator for Navajo Refining Co. and enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandson, and volunteering for 7024U.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Kuykendall, of Artesia; daughter Trudy Goldsmith and husband Jack of Farmington; sisters Connie Krogman and husband Jim of Artesia, and Carol Peters and husband Ray of Great Falls, Mont.; grandson Tommy Goldsmith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
