CARLSBAD — The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a suspicious death that occurred Friday in Carlsbad.

ECSO Chief Deputy Mark Cage reported that on Friday evening, deputies with the ECSO were dispatched to the 2100 block of Mora Street in reference to the death of 46-year-old Rey Corella, who was found inside a RV.

A cause of death has not yet been given, but the ECSO indicated Corella did not die of natural causes.

The incident is currently being investigated by the ECSO Detective Division. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Det. Rob Navarrette at 575-887-7551.
