An Artesia Police Department speaks with motorists following a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon at First Street and Richey Avenue. The wreck occurred just after 4:30 p.m. when the Saturn pictured at right made a left from the southbound turn lane in front of the northbound Jeep pictured at left, which was hauling a small trailer of kayaks. APD Cmdr. Lindell Smith said only minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
