Kory Mauritsen wants to make a difference and benefit the world in a positive way. And, to many, the 2011 Artesia High School graduate already has.

Kory, the son of Mark and Mecca Mauritsen, is a humble scholar and athlete with an optimistic outlook on life.

He describes himself as someone who is always laughing and has a strong work ethic, especially when it comes to running and academics.

AHS Cross Country Coach Marcos Morillon agrees. “There’s not much other than good you can say about that kid. He’s going to be a very successful young man in life because he’s an individual who is self motivated.
