Letter to the Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank some of our city employees for helping us one evening this past week. My husband flipped the light on to the garage and was headed out to pull the car in when he saw something move and heard rattling – came back in and said call 911, there’s a rattlesnake in our garage. Officer P.J. Quinones soon arrived, followed by Officer Beth Hahn; and Animal Control was contacted. ACO Jim Styck arrived and did an amazing job of crawling on hands & knees with a flashlight and snake-handling pole looking for the snake who had crawled under a shelf. He quickly captured the snake and killed it (4 feet long). Thank you to all the fastacting heroes; they do a great job serving our community!
