Love that chicken from Popeye’s? Then you’re in cluck… er, luck. Artesia will soon have
a new fast-food option on offer, as it has been announced that the popular cajun chicken
chain will be occupying the lot on the southeast corner of 26th and Main streets, pictured
above. Home of a chicken sandwich that ranks highly in the recent Chicken Sandwich
Wars, Popeye’s also offers fish, shrimp, and side items such as red beans and rice and
corn on the cob. Construction on the restaurant is expected to break ground this summer.
