Artesians beat the 106-degree heat Wednesday afternoon by swimming and splashing around at the Artesia Aquatic Center, 711 Bowman Drive. The updated indoor pool hours at the center are 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Updated outdoor pool hours are 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. seven days per week. Admission is first come, first served and is based on capacity. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors 60 and up, and $3 for children ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are admitted free.
