TO THE EDITOR:
I am writing to you as part of a class project for the novel “The Watsons Go to Birmingham.” My classmates and I are contacting newspapers in a state of our choice that we want to learn more about.
I chose New Mexico because I find the state fascinating. The climate and weather are very different compared to Indiana. While on a road trip, I stayed the night in Albuquerque. The people there are welcoming, but I did not have the chance to really explore or learn more about the city.
I am writing to ask your readers to please write back and tell me why they like New Mexico, any interesting facts about the state, and what visitors can do there. They can write to my school’s address below. If they could also include a copy of the newspaper where they saw my letter, I would really appreciate it.
