A car sits atop a large rock at the corner of Sixth Street and West Texas Avenue Friday after an elderly woman allegedly experienced loss of brake pressure and steering control. According to Artesia Police Department Sgt. Lindell Smith, no specific evidence was found at the scene to support the allegations. A sign, valued at $500, from the business the car came to rest in front of was damaged. There was no additional damage to any other buildings or vehicles. (Tyler Green - Daily Press)
