Two men, one from Carlsbad and the other from Roswell, were killed Wednesday in an apparent industrial accident.

Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage reports that around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, ECSO deputies were notified of a possible industrial accident at a Concho Lease location off of County Road 722 and U.S. 285. Upon arrival, deputies found two men lying on the ground, unconscious and not breathing.

EMS responded to the scene, and Storm Hutchins of Carlsbad and Nicholas D. Gerberich of Roswell were both pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation by the ECSO Detective Division.
