The bronze statues around town will be receiving a facelift and a little tender loving care throughout the week. The Rustler will be receiving a new patina, while the other statues will be waxed and buffed. Patina is a tarnish that forms on the surface of bronze and similar metals, produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. Patina is a coating of various chemical compounds such as oxides or carbonates formed on the surface during weathering.
