Deputies with the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office were called June 3 to a water pump site near the 1400 block of East Wood Avenue operated by Walterscheid Farms.
Rebates are a temporary, one-time fix that are needed in part because the next governor won’t take office until January and the Legislature won’t be able to pass rebates until the 2027 session which means New Mexicans wouldn’t benefit until at least March of 2027.
This year marks the 79th anniversary of the 1947 “Roswell Incident,” when rancher W. W. Brazel and other locals discovered unusual debris resembling tinfoil and what they claimed were alien bodies on Brazel’s ranch in Roswell.
