Santa Fe County resident Cynthia Weehler raised the issue during a Wednesday, Aug. 5, town hall held by the U.S. Department of Energy in Hobbs to give a public update on operations at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant.
A man was headed up to bed one night, when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in their shed. She said she could see it from the bedroom window. He told her he hadn’t been in the shed that day. However, when he looked out the window, he saw that there were indeed people in the shed, likely stealing things.
REDA joined the Artesia Police Department, the Artesia Fire Department, Eddy County Fire and Rescue, Eddy County Sheriff’s Office, and Native Air Ambulance for a night of free swimming, food and fun with public service and public safety personnel.
The patient was “most likely” infected out of state but developed symptoms after arriving in New Mexico and reported them while in Eddy County, according to a news release from the New Mexico Department of Health.
