Mother Nature gave Artesia MainStreet a break from the rain and thunder Friday night as the 11th annual Red Dirt Black Gold Festival started in downtown Artesia.
Fuzion Nortena took to the stage during Heritage Night. In addition to two days of music, food is available along with adult beverages for those 21 and over.
The festival concludes Saturday with country music night.
