Artesia High School sophomore Beau Byers’ golf game is taking him to places he has only dreamed about: facing the best competition in his age bracket (15-18) at a national tournament.

The Artesia boys wrestling team traveled to Santa Teresa for the regional qualifier ahead of the state meet on Feb. 20-21 at the Rio Rancho Events Center, with the first match starting at 10 a.m.

The Artesia boys basketball team knew it had to bring its A-game to face a Portales team that had beaten them earlier in the year 64-63.

If she does well at the state meet Feb. 20-21 in Albuquerque, Fisher won’t be unknown heading into her junior year.

Ciro broke school records in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 21:44, the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 50.95 and the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 47.14.

The Artesia High School bowling team made the trip to Silva Lanes in Albuquerque to compete in the 2026 New Mexico High School Bowling State Championship, looking to cap off the most decorated regular season in the program’s 19-year history.

Irvin went 3-1 this past weekend at the NMAA Girls Region 2 tournament in Roswell. She defeated ranked opponents to advance to the state tournament on Feb. 20.
