On March 3, a retirement celebration was held in honor of George Chumbley, who retired from Central Valley Electric Cooperative after 25 years of service.

In 1991, Chumbley started working at CVE as an equipment operator, and for the next 25 years, he drove and operated various pieces of large equipment for the co-op.

When asked what he will miss about CVE, Chumbley stated, “I will miss the friendships with fellow employees the most.”

Chumbley plans to do some traveling with his wife Carolyn. He also plans to continue driving trucks as jobs arise.

Central Valley Electric Cooperative would like to thank George Chumbley for his years of dedicated service to the co-op.
