In June, Central Valley Electric Cooperative will send Megan Sullivan and Dakota Avery on an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the Government-in-Action Youth Tour.

Sullivan and Avery will join other students from New Mexico and across the country in the nation’s capital. While there, they will learn about electric cooperatives, American history, and U.S. government.

Students will also have the opportunity to meet with New Mexico’s congressional delegation and explore some of the nation’s greatest monuments.

Sullivan is a senior at Artesia High School and the daughter of Marie Johnson. Avery is a junior at AHS and the son of James and Michelle Phillips and Duane and Cyndi Avery.

CVE encourages all high school juniors and seniors to apply for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For more information, visit www.cvecoop.org.
