The certificate praised Swafford for her “50 years of commitment to our community and your profession.” The longtime library employee also received a certificate from the New Mexico State Library in honor of her milestone. Many Artesians dropped by the event Tuesday to congratulate Swafford, share memories and stories, and enjoy refreshments, including the book-shaped cake below.
