Alma Martinez, right, picks up her trash bags, gloves and t-shirt from Linda Stevens, director of Artesia Clean & Beautiful, in preparation for Saturday’s Toss No Mas event. Artesians are encouraged to participate in the annual cleanup effort and may choose their mile or favorite area to clean. Cleanups do not have to be conducted Saturday but should be completed by Oct. 31 in order to be included in the city’s report to the state. Those wishing to participate may register and pick up bags, gloves and t-shirts at the AC&B office, 422 W. Main St.
