Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at 603 N. Seventh St. for Ruben Granados of Odessa, Texas, formerly of Artesia.
Granados, 60, went home Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, surrounded by family. Cremation has taken place in Odessa, in accordance with his wishes.
A rosary will also be recited at Saturday’s services, with interment to follow immediately at the Lake Arthur Cemetery.
Ruben was born Jan. 13, 1956, in Artesia to Antonio and Juanita Granados. He lived in Artesia until his mother’s passing and moved to Odessa shortly afterward.
He was a jokester and always knew what to say to get laughter out of those surrounding him.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia, of Odessa; children Paul Granados and Vivian Casarez, both of Odessa; three grandchildren, all of Odessa; sisters Olga Urias of Pecos, Texas, and Rosa Ornelas and husband Eddie, Jane Granados, and Dora Gardea and husband Benny, all of Odessa; brothers Richard Granados and wife Elfie, and Danny Granados and wife Lupe, both of Artesia, Seferino Granados and wife Maria of El Paso, Texas, Hector Granados of Odessa, and Tony Granados of Hagerman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Juanita Granados; and his brother, Rudy Granados.
The family will receive visitors at 603 N. Seventh St.
